Global Native Services seeks to identify additional qualified Urdu language instructor candidates for long-term in-country posting to Pakistan (1 year with the option to extend 4 more years). Successful candidates must:
- Be a native speaker of Urdu
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Have a minimum of three years’ experience teaching the Urdu language in a classroom setting to foreign adult students
- Have exceptional English language ability (ILR/FSI Level 3 or above – we can test you) so as to read and understand regulations and instructions, complete correspondence and standardized reports, and communicate clearly and easily with staff in English
- Be proficient in MS Office, internet/browser/search engines, email, use of Skype and other Urdu related software packages like “In page.”
- Be able to teach via Skype from time to time if required
- Provide two or more checkable references speaking to excellence in classroom performance
Preferred candidates will have:
- Advanced degree or graduate coursework in linguistics, curriculum and instruction, language literature and culture, or a related field
- Extensive experience with Western culture including some period of time living in a predominantly English-speaking country
- Familiarity with ILR/FSI scale
